This will be good news for all those who know the Austrian band CORE from their very good yet unrecognized album "away". (It's a shame that the band was labeled "nu" by some magazines and did not make it out of anonymity so far - despite the excellence of their first CD and "The Angle".)

(<---)clipping into mere screaming. "Perfect Summer" is the perfect CD to start into this summer and will bea great soundtrack for many evenings in this sweet time of the year. CORE proves once again the wide range of its talent.

Until "Perfect Summer" I have never heard about CORE. (…) In its biography the band says that they are trying to be "special" - and no worries, the music works and is definitively innovative. The Austrians introduce you to their sometimes melodic, sometimes energetic Rock ("Hot In Herre").
However, there is an own identity! I don't know about the other CDs of CORE but I think it would be worthwhile checking them out.

With a crossover between Soundgarden, Filter, Union and a straight-forward-attitude, CORE will gain big popularity from different audiences - which proves once more that there are great modern rock bands who don't give a damn to dictates from trends and hypes.
