CLIPPINGS

(…) CORE manages to implement Jazz and Blues in its Rock and creates excellent songs like "Mexican Serenade". (…) "Trip Enough" is full of energy, screaming guitars and hammering drums. Together with the vocals it's one of the most interesting tracks of the album. And yes, the vocals indeed deserve some attention! Ranging from pure melody and heavily inspired parts of "Perfect Summer" and others that unite groove and blues like "Avalanche", Chris Harras' voice contributes hugely to the quality of this CD. CORE proves that many beautiful days still lie ahead of rockmusic. CORE goes out on a limb and takes a chance - and it more than pays off.

It's very hard to describe this CD without dropping names of other bands you get reminded of Filter, Audioslave, Senser, Lodestar, QOTSA and also Foo Fighters. Anyway, Perfect Summer deserves it big time that you check it out. It will give you a good time this summer. What a nice surprise!

Attention! This "Perfect Summer" deprives itself of any known category. It is very special and ingenious. The band has named its own label Corecosmos and it truly seems that they come from a different cosmos, because the music is so far from usual standards. Low tuned guitars, which give the music a dimension that reminds of Deftones or Korn. But CORE's creativity is inspired by many diverse styles - Grunge, Alternative-Rock, Blues, Nu Metal and also more traditional Rock. The ensemble is mixed in a perfect alchemy of the instruments and a talented multi-faceted singer.(…) The whole CD sounds beefy and with a natural sense of melody. The listener travels from track to track to different universes but is always accompanied by the special sound and feeling. Check it out!
METAL FRANCE / Online

Expect the unexpected! Out of the heavy alternative rock surprising bits and pieces keep popping up which make the songs juicy over a long period. This trio is outstanding and peculiar. "Perfect Summer" is a firm and intelligent opus.
