CORE is: Chris Harras (Vocals, Guitar) Harry Jilg (Bass) Sascha Bém (Drums) Why are we in a band and why is the band CORE? Well, we've been making music for ages. Chris and Sascha started writing and performing together at the age of 15, Harry joined them some three years later. And since then we've been making music for the sake of music. Because we love music - it's as simple as that. Undergoing different incarnations of the band and also experimenting stylistically throughout the years, we finally returned to our very first three-piece basis. Hence the name CORE. But there is also a second aspect to the name: Making music (or any form of creative output) always implies a quest of your very own identity, of the inner potential, of the essence - of the artist's - you guess it - CORE. The band's - and our personal - evolution has led to this band. It's the reason why we sound the way we do. We think that it's a pretty unique thing - hopefully just as unique as people are. We hope that it's special - 'cause that's what we've always wanted to do.
